This is a brand new bike and electric kit. The bike has done a total of less than 10 miles, these miles are on the clock only for thorough testing purposes.
So here we have a Cannondale Adventure 2 that has been professionally converted to electric by Rebellion Bike. This is a UK road legal conversion, which means it has a 250W rated motor, top motor assist speed of 15mph and is pedal assist only, so the motor only assists when you are pedalling the bike.
It has a super smooth power delivery and because the bike is of high quality and efficient design, it is easy to pedal at a faster speed than the motor will assist and can happily be ridden with the motor turned off. Due to the fact it is a rear geared hub motor and not a direct drive motor there is very little drag, or resistance within the wheel, which means the motor doesn’t suck up your leg power.
The electric components are made by Bafang, which is a well known, quality ebike kit brand. The battery is high spec and made to meet the CE and Rohs safety requirements. It is a 36V 7ah battery which keeps the size and weight down, making it easy to carry in your bag or off of the bike to charge. The motor is a G0100, is rated at 250W and has decent torque, so it will happily pull you up those usually tiresome hills, or drive you full speed into that head-wind. The handlebar display is an 850C colour screen showing you all the essential ride data, such as battery level, speed, pedal assist level and odometer.
The bike rides like a dream. Comfortable and smooth.
