This pair of hydraulic brake sensors is designed to work seamlessly with both hydraulic and cable brake setups, providing instant motor cut-off when braking for safer and more responsive riding. Compatible with most hydraulic brake systems, these sensors simplify installation and enhance control on your e-bike.
The sensors use a reliable reed switch mechanism: when the magnet moves away from the sensor during brake lever pull, it sends a signal to the controller to instantly cut motor power. This feature is especially important when running a Pedal Assist Sensor (PAS), helping prevent unintended motor engagement during slow-speed or stop-and-go traffic.
Installation includes attaching the small magnets (supplied) to your brake lever or caliper with included zip ties or strong adhesive. The sensor itself is secured with a built-in self-adhesive pad on a stable part of the brake lever. Precise placement is critical—the distance between the magnet and the sensor must be minimal to ensure proper motor cut-off. We recommend temporarily mounting both parts first to test correct operation before permanently fixing.
